由IEEE 及中国电子学会主办，由复旦大学承办的第七届国际专用集成电路会议（The 7th International Conference on ASIC）于2007年10月26日-29日在桂林市成功召开。ASICON是在国内召开的有关集成电路设计的最重要的系列国际会议，每两年举行一次，今年的会议已是第七届。

     ASICON 2007 共收到来自22个国家和地区的投稿论文 464篇，其中403篇来自大学，63篇来自工业界和研究所。经国内外几十名专家的严格审稿，共录取230篇论文作为口头报告，占总数的49%。另有101篇被录取为大字报张贴。

    会议的第一天按国际会议惯例，安排了7个精彩的拓导报告（Tutorial）, 它们分别为：荷兰TUDelft 教授John Long 作的报告，题为 “Design of Integrated Radio Transceiver Front-ends in Submicron and Deep Submicron CMOS Technologies”；美国UIUC教授Yun Chiu作的报告题为 “ A/D Converters for Wireless Communication in Nanometer CMOS”； 美国Intel公司Wei Ruan, Shengqi Yang ，Tiehan Lu等博士作的报告，题为 “SOC Design Flow Case Tutorial: Design a Video Processing Pipeline”； 美国教授Sheldon Tan及Florida International University 教授Jeffrey Fan作的报告，题为 "Inductance Extraction and Compact Modeling of Inductively Coupled Interconnects in the Presence of Process Variations"； 美国 Brocade Communications Systems Inc 博士Linming Jin作的题为 “Recent Advances and Trend in Semiconductor ”的报告；美国IBM公司Steven Voldman博士作的报告。题为“ESD and Latch-up: Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tools And Methodologies For Today And Future VLSI Designs”；美国University of Minnesota A.H., Tewfik,、Ramesh Harjani、Gerald E. Sobelman等教授作的报告，题为 "Software Defined Cognitive Radios“。这些报告均为当前研究的热点，受到广泛欢迎。

    在后面3天内还邀请了4位国际著名专家作了开创和前瞻性性的主题演讲。K-1 "Circuit Design in Nano-Scale CMOS Era"，由Intel公司的Fellow Kevin Zhang博士给出； K-2 “ ESD And Latchup : Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tools And Methodologies For Today And Future VLSI Designs”，由IEEE Fellow, IBM 的Steven H. Voldman博士给出； K-3 "Video Compression LSI: Past, Present, and Future Trends" 由日本, Waseda University 教授Takeshi Ikenaga给出； K-4 “Challenges for Consumer Electronics in the 21st Century”，由Technology Evangelist Tensilica公司Steve Leibson 博士给出。 这些主题演讲引起与会者极大的兴趣。

    在闭幕式晚宴上，由大会组织者宣布了ASICON 2007 最佳学生论文得奖者的名单。日本Osaca大学的M.AbdEsalam Hassan, 复旦大学的 Mei Lang, 清华大学的Li Xin及中科院的Chen Guohua 分别获奖。

    第8届国际专用集成电路会议（ASICON 2009）将于2009年10月举行。
